Zoom- Dolly- Two shot- Close up- Cut-  (Straight cut, jump cut, match cut):  Shot changes from one to another – the most common cut. The director chose to use this because  Pace of editing-  The speed at which the film cuts from one shot to the next makes a huge difference to the experience for the audience. Generally, slow cuts build tension while fast cuts suggest action and excitement. The director chose to us this because the chase scene is really fast and they want the audience to be overwhelmed by everything going on

Camerawork blog tasks

1.  closeup, allows us to see the characters expressions and emotions and the suspense of the scene in the call the effect was used to show her closeup reaction after discovering something, it shows the audience her facial changed. medium close up, gets closer in on the character so that the face and top of shoulders is showing it puts the audience at just the right distance from the women's face so we can see some of her body expressions and all of her facial expressions 2. Two shot is usually a medium shot or medium close up of two characters and its used to show us to characters facial expressions when they hear the news in the clip and the reactions to show us if they have the same reaction or different ones. 3. The lighting is really dull and dark for example in the first scene it shows that its clearly filmed in the night and the one lamp adds light but at the same time keeps it quiet and dim. 4. DENOTATION The lighting at the start is flickering it is also dull/dim lighting lighting and its set at night time  CONNOTATION In the introduction of "Stranger Things," flickering lights create an atmosphere of suspense and mystery. They symbolize the SCI-FI theme in the show as it DENOTATION The actors expression in the first scene shows that he's fearing for his life as he looks scared and anxious for what is chasing him, The children's fascial expressions shows that they are having fun with each other playing games CONNOTATION The actors facial expressuion shows that when they were playing thwe board game their expressions were happy and excited but the tables turned very quickly. DENOTATION The setting in the start is in the underground secret lab it also shows the dark scary forest CONNOTATION The undergrouyd secret lab highlights the SCIFI THEME in the seriies and it gives it an eerie vibe as its dark a man is being chased flickering lights and its alltogehter ...
