statement of intent

the artist are Alessia carson and Khalid and the song is 1-800-273-8255 and its about mental health issues. My music video will be about a girl suffering alone with family issues and having depression and learning to rely on her friends for help. Mental health issues are in every community so it teaches them to ask for help instead of keeping it locked away.

I will use medium close-ups and zoom-outs. I will also use the mise en scene body language ways u can interpret that the actor is suffering inside without telling the audience straight away. The editing style I'll use is fade-outs and fade-ins. This will keep the audience interest and give the effect that its a real music video.  For the non digetic sound i will use the music 1-8000-273-8255 by Alessia carson and Khalid. For the digetic sound in the introduction before the music plays the characters parents will be arguing muffled in the background then she puts on her headphones which will cue the music to begin playing.

They are going to be students in high school of all different races so it gives representations to many races and people in high school. I will represent the community as my character are infact people that live in the community and the streets we walk past are in the community. My music video will challenge the idea of keeping issues to yourself as it can lead to bad things if you keep them bottled up without asking for help from anybody so it basically shows that talking to friends or just people you care about does help with your problems

Im targetting the 13-18 region which does fall under the young adults category and im basically leaning towards people that are in school and as well as their own personal problems them also layering on the issues they have in school with acedemic stress and peer pressure and falling into bad habits and ask for help whether thats family or friends. Im using blumer and katz uses and gratification people can relate with the character and what shes going through it can give them a feeling of personal identity and help them with what their going through.

1.  closeup, allows us to see the characters expressions and emotions and the suspense of the scene in the call the effect was used to show her closeup reaction after discovering something, it shows the audience her facial changed. medium close up, gets closer in on the character so that the face and top of shoulders is showing it puts the audience at just the right distance from the women's face so we can see some of her body expressions and all of her facial expressions 2. Two shot is usually a medium shot or medium close up of two characters and its used to show us to characters facial expressions when they hear the news in the clip and the reactions to show us if they have the same reaction or different ones. 3.
